I had worked for 20 years in the statutory and voluntary sectors, including domestic abuse, probation, offenders, drinkers, drug users, homeless, anger management and complex needs and found that in all of these areas there was an over-representation of males, most of which had grown up without a Father, or had an abusive Father. I took a leap of faith and set up a community interest company called Lads Need Dads, which addresses the issue of boys growing up 'Fatherlessness'.
